Ni80Cr20 (8020 nickel-chromium alloy) is a high-resistance electrothermal alloy with excellent performance. Due to its outstanding high-temperature stability and corrosion resistance, it is widely used in the manufacture of various heating elements.

 

Main components: Nickel (Ni) approx. 80%, Chromium (Cr) approx. 20%
Density: approx. 8.4 g/cm³
Melting point: approx. 1400°C
Maximum operating temperature: approx. 1200°C
Resistivity: 1.09 ± 0.05 μΩ·m (at 20°C), stable resistance is key for its use as an electrothermal material
Tensile strength: approx. 750 - 900 MPa, maintaining good strength even at high temperatures
Elongation: ≥ 20%, good plasticity, easy to process and shape
Thermal conductivity: approx. 15 W/(m·K)
Magnetic properties: Non-magnetic
Corrosion resistance: A dense chromium oxide protective film can form on the surface, providing excellent oxidation resistance in oxidizing environments.

 

Based on these properties, 8020 nickel-chromium alloy strip has a wide range of applications in fields requiring stable heating and high temperature resistance, primarily in the following areas:

Industrial electric heating equipment: This is its core application. It is widely used in the manufacture of heating elements for various industrial electric furnaces, ovens, and heating furnaces.
